How do we transition from festive holiday dressing to winter days? We asked our founder, Alex Toccin, to share with us how she stays Style to a T all season long.

Alex Toccin wearing the Keri evening cocktail silver sequin midi slip dress

Don’t put the metallics and sequins away after NYE. Sparkling in a classic silhouette, like a slip, brightens up winter nights while still being timeless. Bonus, you can keep your jewelry simple!

Alex Toccin wearing the Jodi long blouson sleeve mid length navy satin day to evening dress

Dresses still work for day to night. While I love a good pant, nothing transitions from work to date night quite like a dress. Jodi keeps me polished at work and then with a swipe of lipstick and a jewelry swap, I’m ready for drinks with a friend or dinner with Michael.

Alex Toccin wearing the Bianca long slip crochet dress with mini in black

A crochet knit is a hit from Manhattan to Miami if you’re a snowbird like me. I even layer it for winter weather with boots, tights, and a fabulous coat. I love the subtle sexiness the knit reveals of your figure, hinting at warmer days ahead.

Alex Toccin wearing the Becky long sleeve zip front a-line mini faux leather dress in black

Leather transitions from date to night and from season to season, so try it out as something other than a jacket. I love a leather dress as it can easily be styled up or down and still have an edge. Our Becky dress is great as the mini length makes it playful and I can wear it with tights and boots in the winter and fall and then lose the tights come spring. Bonus: she’s vegan!

You can wear colors other than black in the winter. When spring feels forever away and I don’t want to wear another black sweater, I’ll literally lighten up by reaching for a dress in white or cream and winterize it with tights, boots, and a fabulous coat. The Harper always makes me feel like a star thanks to the metallic details too.

Alex Toccin wearing the Gabby puff sleeve mini snake print brown animal print mini dress

Prints and patterns are eye-catching.  If you’re not used to wearing prints, try an animal print. The neutrals work well from day to night and are easier to accessorize as you begin your walk on the wild side.

Alex Toccin wearing The Camille sweater coat oversized tie belt cardigan long black with gold lurex

Invest in a topper. A cardigan coat is a great way to elevate any ensemble with more polish. I practically live in the Camille on the weekends whether I’m at home in pajamas or running errands. You really can be chic and cozy!

Alex Toccin wearing the Doris burnout velvet evening cocktail mini dress long sleeve v neck

Winter is the season for velvet. Wear it! The texture is so luxe, it feels like an indulgence. Try it in a drapey cut or in a print to give it fresh twist.

Alex Toccin wearing the Linda off shoulder puff sleeve mini little black dress LBD cocktail

While winter is the season for bundling up, I always think it’s nice to show off a bit of decolletage from time to time. A strapless gown in a classic silhouette is my go-to for a night out. I’ll even put a bit of highlighter on my clavicles just so they really dazzle.
