It’s hot and it’s steamy. It’s the season to get dressed up–literally.A dress is the best thing you can invest in for summer weather. There’s minis, there’s midis, there’s maxis, and there’s a variety of fabrics to choose from…so how do you know which dress is right for you? That’s what I’m here for! Easy, Breezy Knits: A dress is an outfit in one piece which makes them great uniforms for summer. When thinking about a go-to dress for summer look for something made out of a breathable fabric, like cotton. A cotton knit dress is great as it offers breathability and is figure-flattering without being too tight, which makes them versatile enough to wear to work or on the weekend. They are also great for summer vacations as they don’t wrinkle when you pack them! Below are some my favorites from our collection: |

Stripes, Stripes, Stripes: Every summer the nautical trend returns. While I usually buy striped tees and sweaters, this summer we decided to try them with dresses. By reorienting the stripes so they run vertically, it’s less sailor and more elongating–how chic! Sleeveless Dresses: Hot days and nights call for less fabric. The sticky part can be finding the dress that makes you feel and look put together during the week. As someone who wants to get dressed as quickly and easily as possible while still looking polished, I often turn to a sleeveless dress during the summer. A tailored, sleeveless dress is so flattering and so easy– all you need is a cardigan for the office A/C and you’re ready to go.
